In the 1990s, Madison Avenue Limousine, an established chauffeured car company in Manhattan, provided embassies and foreign missions with reliable delegation transportation, during the annual United Nations General Assembly in NYC.
During the UNGA, James Monahan, the owner of Madison Avenue Limousine, personally oversaw all vehicles and chauffeurs included in official Heads of State motorcades.
Multiple clients, impressed by the Madison Avenue level of service and attention to detail, reached out to see if in addition to the soft vehicles he could also provide the secure armored cars. So, with a sizeable investment in a new armored vehicle fleet, additional hiring, and training, Madison Avenue Armor was launched.
